DSP on UZIO: What's Different

Modified on Mon, 14 Sep at 1:58 PM

Purpose

A DSP (Delivery Service Partner) is an Amazon delivery partner. On UZIO a DSP is an Amazon Exchange account, and its employees are Delivery Associates (DAs). Most of UZIO works the same way for a DSP as for any other employer. This article is the map to what does not.

Features that exist only for DSPs are documented in this module. Features that merely behave differently for a DSP stay in their own module, with a DSP note at the point where the behaviour diverges. The map below points to both.

Who this is for: administrators and payroll users on a DSP account. Individual actions are gated by the same permissions as on any other account, so what you can do depends on your role, not on the DSP label.

What your Delivery Associates see

The employee experience is also affected in two places:

  • The Time Kiosk is self-service. Delivery Associates manage their own kiosk PIN, because employer users cannot view or reset it. See Using the Time Kiosk.
  • Shift swaps, offers and claims are checked. A manager's approval can be refused when accepting the shift would break the 12-hour or 60-hour limit. See Swapping, Offering and Claiming Shifts.

What is not different

Most of UZIO behaves normally, and the standard articles apply as written. Benefits administration, employee records and documents, onboarding, expenses, reports, and the mechanics of running a pay run are the same on a DSP account as on any other. Where a DSP difference exists inside one of those areas, the article carries a DSP note at that point. If you do not see one, the standard behaviour applies.

Still to confirm

  • The full DSP-only feature inventory. Product has not confirmed whether DSP-only pay codes, compliance reports, or route-specific scheduling rules exist beyond the map above.
  • Amazon's maximum acceptable override rate. Amazon quotes DSPs a cap, but our own sources record two different figures, so UZIO does not publish a number in this library. Confirm your current cap with Amazon. Whatever it is, the way to move the number is the same: push corrections back to employees as self-service edits routed through approval, and leave a clear reason on every manual change.
