Purpose
The Integrations page in the Employer Portal is where you connect UZIO to the third-party systems your company already uses: accounting, background checks, Form I-9 and E-Verify, applicant tracking, workforce scheduling, a payroll provider, a retirement plan provider, and a pay card programme. This article tells you which integrations exist, what each one moves between the two systems, which ones you can switch on yourself, and how you find out when a connection stops working.
The page opens with this sentence:
"Enhance your UZIO experience by connecting with a wide range of powerful technology solutions designed to streamline operations, boost productivity, and simplify workflows."
Each integration is a row you can expand. The row header shows the integration's name, its category, its current status, and one main button (Connect, Setup, Manage, or Request). Expanding the row shows a short description of what you get and, for a connected integration, the Disconnect link. This article calls the rows "tiles", which is how most people describe them.
Who can do this: users with access to the Integrations page (typically the Employer Admin). Connecting most integrations also needs an administrator login on the third-party side; each connector article lists what that is.
Note: The tiles you see depend on your account. The table below is the full set, not what every company sees. A missing tile usually means it has not been switched on for your account, not that the integration does not exist. If you need one you cannot see, ask UZIO Support to enable it.
DSP note: On Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP) accounts the Zoho Recruit, rapid! Paycard, Deputy, Paycor, and Clear I-9 tiles are deliberately not shown. DSP accounts see QuickBooks Online, Checkr, 401(k) Integration and, where enabled, Greenhouse.
The integrations, as they appear on the page
| Tile (as shown) | Category caption | Button you see first | What it is for | Article |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quickbooks Online | Accounting | Connect | Posts each approved payroll to QuickBooks Online as a journal entry, mapped to your chart of accounts | Connecting QuickBooks Online |
| Checkr | Background Checks | Connect | Order and track pre-employment background checks from inside UZIO | Running Background Checks with Checkr |
| Zoho Recruit | ATS and Recruitment | Request | Applicant tracking system connection, set up with UZIO Support | See Request-based tiles |
| 401(k) Integration | Retirement Plans | Request | Retirement plan connectivity (census data and contributions), set up with UZIO Support | See Request-based tiles |
| rapid! Paycard | Payroll Card | Request | Pay card programme: UZIO sends employee details to rapid! PayCard so cards can be registered and paid by direct deposit | See Request-based tiles |
| Clear I-9 | Employment and Eligibility Verification | Connect | Legacy Form I-9 and E-Verify through a Clear I-9 account. Existing customers only; new customers use UZIO's native E-Verify | Legacy: I-9 & E-Verify via Clear I-9 |
| Deputy | Time Tracking and Scheduling | Connect | Brings approved Deputy timesheets into the payroll grid; sends employees and time off to Deputy | Connecting Deputy and Syncing Timesheets into Payroll |
| Paycor | Payroll Integration | Setup | For companies that run benefits in UZIO and payroll in Paycor: employees come from Paycor, benefit deductions and contributions go to Paycor | Syncing Benefits to Paycor Payroll |
| Greenhouse | Applicant Tracking System | Connect | Creates a Draft prospective employee in UZIO when a candidate is marked Hired in Greenhouse. Hidden until UZIO Support enables it for your account | Hiring from Greenhouse (ATS) |
Two more integrations are real but are not tiles on this page. Earned Wage Access providers (Zayzoon, PayActiv, DailyPay) exchange files with UZIO behind the scenes and are switched on by UZIO Support; see Earned Wage Access Integrations. Insurance carrier enrollment feeds are part of benefits administration and are covered in the Benefits module.
Note: The tile is captioned "rapid! Paycard" while the vendor writes its product "rapid! PayCard". They are the same programme.
What flows, and which way
The most common question about any connector is what actually moves. The short version:
| Integration | Into UZIO | Out of UZIO | Trigger |
|---|---|---|---|
| QuickBooks Online | Your chart of accounts, classes, and locations (read at setup and on refresh) | One journal entry per approved payroll | Payroll approval (automatic mode) or the Sync to QuickBooks Online button (manual mode) |
| Checkr | Status of each background check | The candidate invitation, with the package and work-location details you choose | You click Send Invitation; Checkr reports back as the check progresses |
| Greenhouse | One Draft prospect per hired candidate | Nothing (UZIO never writes to Greenhouse) | A candidate is marked Hired in Greenhouse |
| Deputy | Approved timesheets for the pay period; Deputy-managed time off (if chosen) | New and changed employees; UZIO-managed time off (if chosen) | Employee changes within about five minutes; timesheets when you click Sync Timesheets from Deputy |
| Paycor | Employee hires, changes, terminations, and rehires | Benefit deduction and contribution amounts, including $0 lines when coverage ends | Employee sync once a day; deduction and contribution sync several times a day |
| Clear I-9 | Form I-9 and E-Verify case status | The employee's I-9 task, launched into Clear I-9 | I-9 assignment in UZIO; status events from Clear I-9 |
Each connector article has a fuller table that also lists what does not sync.
Three kinds of setup
The button on the tile tells you which kind you are looking at.
Connect (self-service). Click Connect, sign in to the third party as an administrator, and approve UZIO. You are returned to UZIO, the tile shows Connected, and a Setup or Manage button opens the mapping and settings screens. QuickBooks Online, Checkr, Deputy, Clear I-9, and Greenhouse work this way. Greenhouse is the one exception on visibility: the tile is hidden until UZIO Support enables it for your account, after which the setup is entirely yours.
Setup (self-service, no sign-in from the tile). The Paycor tile always shows Setup. Connection status is kept per Paycor client inside the setup screens rather than on the tile.
Request (assisted). The tile offers Request instead of Connect. See the next section.
Request-based tiles: 401(k) Integration, rapid! Paycard, Zoho Recruit
These three tiles have no self-service connection. Clicking Request opens a confirmation:
"To integrate with [name], our team will get in touch with you soon." "Are you sure you want to raise the request?"
Click Yes. UZIO emails UZIO Support with your company name, your name, and the email address and work phone on your admin profile, and the page shows:
"Your request for [name] integration has been successfully submitted. Our team will get in touch with you soon."
What happens next is a conversation with UZIO Support rather than a screen in UZIO. There is no request tracker in the product, so if you have not heard back within a few business days, follow up by email (see Still stuck?).
- 401(k) Integration. The tile describes it as connecting "with your preferred 401(k) provider": easier payroll journal maintenance, employee census synchronisation, and automatic processing of employee and employer contributions. UZIO's implementation team configures it with you and your provider.
- rapid! Paycard. UZIO sends your employees' details to rapid! PayCard so their pay cards can be registered. A registered card is then paid like any other direct-deposit account. UZIO Support sets the programme up with you after the request.
- Zoho Recruit. An applicant tracking system connection. UZIO Support confirms what is available for your account after the request.
Note: Raising a request is not a promise that the integration can be turned on for your company. Availability depends on the partner arrangement, which is why these tiles route to UZIO Support. Wait for the answer before building a plan around it.
How you find out when a connection breaks
UZIO renews its authorisation with QuickBooks Online and Greenhouse automatically in the background. If a renewal fails, or the third party revokes access from its side, UZIO does not show an alert on the Integrations page and the tile keeps showing Connected. You find out from the symptom:
| Integration | First sign of a broken connection | Where to look |
|---|---|---|
| QuickBooks Online | A payroll's sync fails; the Payroll History row shows the failure and offers Download Sync Error Log | Syncing Payrolls and Troubleshooting |
| Greenhouse | Hired candidates stop arriving as Draft prospects, with no failure notification | Hiring from Greenhouse |
| Deputy | The Sync Timesheets from Deputy button is missing, or new employees stop appearing in Deputy | Connecting Deputy |
| Checkr | Checks cannot be ordered; if Checkr ended the connection, reconnect from the tile | Running Background Checks with Checkr |
| Paycor | Employee sync failures arrive by email (to the addresses set in the Paycor settings) | Syncing Benefits to Paycor Payroll |
The fix in every self-service case is the same: Disconnect from the tile, then Connect again. Your mappings are kept for QuickBooks Online, Greenhouse, and Clear I-9; the connector articles say what else survives a disconnect.
Still stuck?
If a tile you need is missing, if a request-based tile has had no follow-up, or if a connection keeps failing after you reconnect, please reach out to us at support@uzio.com or call +1-571-601-1752. Send your company name, the integration name, a screenshot of the Integrations page showing the tile's state, and the date and time of the last successful sync if you know it.
