Completing Your Self-Onboarding

Modified on Mon, 14 Sep at 1:57 PM

Purpose

Your employer invited you to onboard yourself in UZIO — enter your details once, correctly, and your employment record, payroll, and paperwork all start right. Takes 15–30 minutes with your documents at hand.

Note: Self-onboarding runs in a web browser (computer or mobile browser) — the UZIO mobile app doesn't support registration or self-onboarding.

Before you start, gather

  • SSN and date of birth; home address
  • An emergency contact (at least one is required)
  • Bank routing/account numbers (if paid by direct deposit)
  • Any details your employer requests under Additional Information (e.g., driver's license)

The steps

  1. Register — click the link in your self-onboarding invitation email; register with the email it was sent to, or with a Google, LinkedIn, or Microsoft account (details).
  2. Welcome — the greeting page; continue.
  3. My Information — three tabs: Personal (SSN, date of birth, ...), Contact (home address + at least one emergency contact), and Additional Information (whatever your employer requests).
  4. Payroll (appears if your employer collects payroll details here)Federal Tax Withholding, State Tax Withholding, and Payment Method (direct deposit or check — direct deposit details).
  5. Documents — read, fill, and sign everything your employer shared. Complete them all.
    • If your employer assigned you a Form I-9, it appears here as one of these documents. You fill in Section 1; your employer completes Section 2 afterwards. Completing Section 1 of Form I-9 walks through every field, including which citizenship status to pick and what to enter for an A-Number.
  6. Tasks — if your employer assigned onboarding tasks (trainings, equipment forms), mark each complete as you finish it.
  7. Review — a summary of pending vs completed items. Submit when everything's done.

After the congratulations screen, your employer reviews what you submitted and finishes the onboarding — you'll gain normal portal access per their setup.

Warning: Payroll runs on what you enter here. Double-check SSN, withholding choices, and bank numbers against source documents — a typo in an account number delays your first paycheck.
