Purpose
Your employer can assign you tasks as part of starting your job, and occasionally afterwards. This article covers where those tasks appear, how to complete them, and what happens when you do.
Where your tasks appear
- During self-onboarding. Tasks assigned to you appear as a step inside your self-onboarding journey, not in a separate list.
- After you are onboarded. Tasks appear on your portal home page under Your Action Needed, and the full list sits behind the My Tasks Quick Link.
You are emailed when a task is assigned to you. If you have not registered yet, that email carries a registration link rather than a login link.
Complete a task
- Open the task from Your Action Needed or My Tasks, or from the step in your onboarding journey.
- Do what the task describes.
- If the task requires a document, upload the file first. A task that requires a document cannot be marked complete until the file is attached.
- Mark the task complete. You can add a comment, which is useful when something needs explaining, for example that a form was handed in at reception.
When you complete a task, the people your employer chose to notify receive an email saying you have completed it, including your comment if you left one. You do not need to tell anyone separately.
Due dates and reminders
Tasks can carry a due date. UZIO emails you reminders while a task is still open, including a reminder as the due date approaches.
A past-due task is not locked. You can still complete it in the normal way. If you cannot complete it, for example because you are waiting on someone else, tell the person who assigned it rather than leaving it open.
If someone completes a task for you
Your employer can mark a task complete on your behalf, which is what happens when the work was done outside UZIO. The task then shows as completed with that date, and you do not need to do anything further.
On the mobile app
Onboarding tasks are not available in the UZIO mobile app. Complete them in the employee web portal, on a computer or in your phone's browser. See Using the UZIO Mobile App.
Need help?
Your employer creates the tasks, sets the due dates and decides which ones require a document. If a task is unclear, if you cannot upload the document it wants, or if it was assigned to you by mistake, contact the manager or HR contact who assigned it.
