UZIO Product Updates — Additional May 2026 Release

This update covers two additional features now live as part of the May 2026 release: Enhanced Sensitive Data Controls — giving Employer Administrators granular, role-based control over how sensitive employee information is displayed across the platform; and the Custom Report Builder — a completely rebuilt reporting experience that combines HR, Payroll, Time Tracking, Time Off, and I-9/E-Verify data into a single template. Both features are available on the Employer Portal as well as for TRC Team users who access UZIO via the Broker Portal — a dedicated section below covers what’s specific to these users. We are also sharing an important advance notice about a security improvement to UZIO sign-in that takes effect on June 10, 2026, and may affect users on very old browsers or devices.

UZIO General Enhancements

Enhanced Sensitive Data Controls

UZIO introduces Sensitive Field Visibility, a new role-based security enhancement that gives Employer Administrators granular control over how sensitive employee information is displayed across the platform.

What’s changing

Previously, visibility controls were limited to three basic hide options — SSN, Gender Identity, and Compensation Details — and applied only to employee profile pages. Sensitive data could still appear in reports, creating security and compliance challenges.

With this enhancement, administrators can now configure sensitive-field visibility settings separately for each role under the Manage Users section. Controls apply to:

• On Screens — Visibility across all employer portal pages where the field appears.
• Reports — Visibility within standard reports, so sensitive values respect the same masking rules wherever they surface.

Visibility options

Each supported field can be configured independently per role with up to three visibility options:

Supported sensitive fields

The following fields are now supported under Sensitive Field Visibility. All fields support all three visibility options (No Masking, Partially Masked, Fully Masked), with one exception: Gender Identity supports only No Masking and Fully Masked.

How to configure

• Navigate to Manage Users.
• Select the role you want to configure (e.g., HR Manager, Payroll Admin, Read-Only).
• Under Sensitive Field Visibility, choose the desired masking option (No Masking / Partially Masked / Fully Masked) for each field, separately for On Screens and Reports.
• Save the configuration. Changes apply immediately to all users assigned to that role.

Scope and behaviour

• Role-based: Settings are configured per role, not per user. Assign users to the appropriate role to control what they see.
• Independent per surface: On-Screen and Report visibility can be configured independently for each field.

Custom Report Builder

We’ve launched the Custom Report Builder, a completely rebuilt reporting experience that replaces the old Custom Reports tool.

You can now build reports that combine HR, Payroll, Time Tracking, Time Off, and I-9/E-Verify data in a single run, schedule them to run on the cadence you need, and download the results as a formatted Excel or CSV file — all from one place under Reports → Custom Report Builder.

What’s in Custom Report Builder

• Build reports across multiple data types in one report — Pick fields from HR, Payroll, Time Tracking, Time Off, and I-9/E-Verify in a single template, in a single run.
• Save templates and reuse them — Build a report once, save it as a template, and run it as many times as you need — always against your latest data. No more manual rerun or rebuilding the same report every time.
• Set date range criteria to preview the report — Validate the output before scheduling, so you know the template returns exactly what you expect.
• Use Ask at Runtime on any date filter — The same “Monthly Payroll Summary” template works for January, February, and every month after — just enter the date range when you click Run.
• Schedule automated runs with notifications — Set any saved template to run automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence. When the report is ready, a notification is sent to your team’s inbox — log in to UZIO to view, sort, and download the latest results in Excel or CSV.
• Flexible export and viewing options — Every completed report is available to view in your browser (interactive grid with sorting and filtering), download as CSV, or download as Excel.

Supported datasets

You can pull fields from any combination of the following datasets in a single template. Dataset visibility respects each user’s module-level permissions — a user without Payroll access will not see Payroll fields.

Access Permission

Your UZIO administrator controls access to Custom Report Builder via Manage Users → Company Access → Reports → Custom Report Builder. Access can be set to Full Access or No Access. Dataset visibility in the report builder respects each user’s module-level permissions — a user without Payroll access will not see Payroll fields.

Migrating from the Old Custom Reports

• Before July 15, 2026: Open each saved template in the old Custom Reports and recreate it in the new Custom Report Builder. You’ll gain the ability to combine datasets, save reusable templates, and schedule runs in the process.
• After July 15, 2026: The old Custom Reports section will be removed, and any templates still saved there will be permanently deleted. There is no automatic migration of templates between the two tools.

For TRC Team Users (Accessing UZIO via the Broker Portal)

This section consolidates everything that’s specific to TRC Team users who access UZIO via the Broker Portal for reporting on DSPs. The two features above are fully available to TRC Team users; this section covers the defaults, behaviour, and additional capabilities specific to this access path. Both updates are now live for all TRC Team users — no additional configuration is required.

Sensitive Field Visibility for TRC Team Users

TRC Team users see sensitive employee fields with masking applied by default, consistently across both the UI and Reports. This default configuration has been set in line with the compliance requirements for TRC reporting.

The following defaults apply consistently to both the UI and Reports for TRC Team users:

What this means for TRC Team users

• Reports are available with masking applied. TRC Team users can run and download reports, with sensitive fields displayed per the configuration above.
• Standard SFTP reports are unaffected. The scheduled standard reports that UZIO delivers to external SFTP servers continue to flow in their current form, without masking, as required for downstream reporting needs.
• DSP-side users are not affected. DSP owners and their employer-side users retain their existing visibility on the DSP portal. The default configuration above applies only to TRC Team users on the Broker Portal.

Custom Report Builder for TRC Team Users

The Custom Report Builder is available to TRC Team users with the same workflow as the employer side — create reusable templates, run reports on demand, schedule them to run on the cadence you need, and download results as Excel or CSV. The key difference for TRC Team users is the ability to build templates that run across multiple DSPs in a single report, with consolidated output, instead of running the same report separately for each DSP.

Capabilities for TRC Team users

• Multi-DSP templates. Select the DSPs you want included when you build or run a template. A single template can be reused across any combination of DSPs.
• Same datasets as the employer side. HR, Payroll, Time Tracking, Time Off, and I-9/E-Verify fields are all available; results consolidate across the selected DSPs.
• Same scheduling and notifications. Daily, weekly, or monthly scheduling with notifications sent to your team’s inbox — log in to UZIO to download the results in Excel or CSV. The same Ask at Runtime support for date filters is available.
• Sensitive fields are respected. Reports run by TRC Team users honor the default sensitive-field masking configuration shown in the table above.

Access for TRC Team users

Access to the Custom Report Builder is granted automatically to all TRC Team users on the Broker Portal. No additional permission configuration is required.

Advance Notice

Sign-in Security Update — Effective June 10, 2026

On June 10, 2026, UZIO will move to a stronger, more secure standard for how users sign in. This is a routine security improvement that brings UZIO in line with current best practices for protecting your data.

Most users will not notice any change. If you and your employees use UZIO from a modern, up-to-date device and browser, no action is required.

When could this affect a user?

A small number of users may be unable to sign in to UZIO after June 10 if they are using a very old browser, operating system, or device that does not meet current security standards. In those cases, the user will see a generic browser message saying the site can’t be opened securely — they will not see a UZIO error.

This typically applies only to:

• Computers running very old versions of Windows (such as Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP).
• Phones or tablets running very old versions of Android or iOS that are no longer supported by the manufacturer.
• Older browsers such as Internet Explorer, or browsers that have not been updated in many years.
• Shared kiosks, or older tablets.

What we recommend

• Share this notice with your employees and ask anyone using an older device to update their browser, or switch to a newer device, before June 10, 2026.
• If you have an internal IT team, please forward this notice to them — they will know if any company-issued laptops, kiosks, or shared devices need to be updated.
• Encourage employees to keep their browser up to date — modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) update automatically and need only a restart.
