Security Enhancement

Mandatory 2-Step Verification / Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for Enhanced Data Security

As part of our ongoing security enhancements, 2-Step Verification/ Two Factor Authentication (2FA) will soon be mandatory for all users. Users will receive further details based on the specific timelines. Please stay tuned for updates and ensure that you and your downstream team are prepared for this important security upgrade. 

Note: White-label partners are encouraged to inform their customers and their employees accordingly.

Set Up 2-Step Verification Now

To avoid last-minute disruptions, we encourage you to enable 2-Step Verification in advance by navigating to the Account Information page under the Profile Menu.

UZIO Payroll Enhancements

Pay Group Functionality

We’re excited to introduce Pay Group functionality , a new feature that provides greater flexibility in payroll management. Previously, clients were restricted to a single pay schedule per pay frequency, which led many to use Special Payroll as a workaround to accommodate multiple pay groups. With this update, you can now create and manage multiple pay schedules within the same pay frequency, eliminating the need for workarounds and streamlining payroll processing.

Along with the Pay Group feature, we have introduced additional enhancements to further streamline and optimize your payroll processing experience.

Automated Payroll Calendar Generation

We’ve also introduced an enhancement to automate payroll schedule generation. Previously, payroll calendars had to be created manually each year. Now, this process is fully automated! Once a pay schedule is defined as part of a Pay Group, the system will automatically generate payroll calendars for the next two years, ensuring seamless payroll scheduling without any manual intervention.

Key Benefits:

1. No manual effort required. The system automatically generates future payroll calendars.

2. Reduces administrative workload and ensures accuracy in payroll planning.

3. Ensures continuity by maintaining a rolling two-year payroll calendar.

Quarterly Payroll – New Pay Frequency Support

We’ve also introduced an enhancement to allow you to set up pay schedules for employees with a quarterly pay frequency. Previously, payroll schedules were limited to standard frequencies such as weekly, biweekly, and monthly. With this update, payroll admins can now define and manage quarterly pay schedules within the system, providing more flexibility to accommodate different payroll structures.

Seamless Transition for Existing Clients

For all existing clients, this update ensures a smooth and effortless transition. We’ve automated the changes, so no action is required on your part! Your payroll setup remains intact and fully functional.

What Changes Will You See?

• Automatic Pay Group Creation – Five pay groups (one for each pay frequency) have been automatically created for all existing clients. 

• Employee Assignments Aligned – Employees are automatically assigned to a pay group based on their existing pay frequency.

• Seamless Pay Schedule Alignment – Each pay group’s pay schedule will match your existing payroll calendars.

Payment Method Override During Payroll Processing

We’re excited to introduce an enhancement in payroll processing! Previously available only in Special Payroll, the ability to override an employee’s payment method is now extended to Regular Payroll as well. Payroll admins can now change an employee’s payment method from direct deposit to check to make on-the-spot adjustments when needed for a specific payroll run, providing greater flexibility for any business needs.

Key Points:

• A new column Payment Method is added to the payroll grid. By default, this column will appear before the Gross Pay. You can move it to any position in the grid.

• This change will apply only to the current payroll.

• The employee’s default payment method in their profile will remain unchanged.
