Purpose
Change your UZIO password or your username from inside the portal. Change the password as a routine refresh or after you suspect it has been exposed. Change the username when your email address changes, because your username is your login email. Both actions live on the same page, Account Information > Login Accounts, and both apply to every place you sign in: the Employer Portal, the Employee Portal, and the UZIO Mobile App.
Who needs this: any portal user. The steps are the same for employer and employee logins.
If you cannot log in at all, use Resetting a Forgotten Password or Recovering Your Username instead. The steps here require you to be signed in.
Open the Login Accounts page
- Sign in to UZIO.
- Open your profile menu (top right, next to your name).
- Choose Account Information, then Login Accounts.
The page shows your UZIO username and lets you connect a Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn account as an extra way to sign in.

Change your password
- Under UZIO, click Change Password.
- Complete the window:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Username (Email) | Read-only. Your registered email |
| Current Password | Your existing password |
| New Password | Must meet the policy. Click the Password Policy link in the window to see the rules |
| Confirm Password | Must match exactly, including case |
- Click Submit.
What happens next: UZIO confirms the change and may return you to the login page. Sign in with the new password. You also receive an email with the subject Password updated successfully; if you receive that email without having changed your password, treat it as a warning, reset your password immediately, and tell your administrator. Your username and your 2-Step Verification setup are unchanged. Use the new password in the UZIO Mobile App as well.
Change your username
- Under UZIO, click Change Username.
- Complete the window:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Current Username (Email) | Read-only |
| Current Password | Authorises the change |
| New Username (Email) | The new email address. It must be a valid address that no other UZIO account uses |
- Click Submit.
What happens next: UZIO confirms the change and returns you to the login page. From now on sign in with the new email address and your existing password, on the web and in the mobile app. If you use both the Employer Portal and the Employee Portal, the change applies to both. Your 2-Step Verification setup is unchanged.
Note: Changing your UZIO username changes the email used for UZIO email/password login only. A connected Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn login keeps using that provider's own account.
Note for admins: You can update an employee's username on their behalf from Employees > Actions > Login Accounts, where your role carries the permissions for that employee. You cannot set or reset anyone's password. The procedure is in Viewing and Editing Employee Usernames.
Common problems
"New Username" is rejected because the email is already in use
Every UZIO username is unique across the whole platform. Another UZIO account already uses that address, possibly your own account from a previous employer or an old registration. If it is yours and you can still log in to it, that is the account to use. If it is yours and you cannot access it, go to Still stuck?.
I don't remember my current password
Log out and use Need help logging in? > I forgot my password on the login page. See Resetting a Forgotten Password. The Change Password window requires the current password.
I changed my username and now can't log in
Use the new email address as your username. Your password did not change. If you are not sure what you typed, use Need help logging in? > I forgot my username, or ask your administrator to View Username.
The new password is rejected
Open the Password Policy link in the window and check each rule. A password you have used before is not accepted. Make sure Confirm Password matches exactly.
Mobile
Password and username changes are made in the web portal. After the change, sign in to the UZIO Mobile App with the new credentials.
Still stuck?
If the email address you need is held by an old UZIO account you can no longer access, please reach out to us at support@uzio.com or call +1-571-601-1752. Include your company name, your current username, and the address you want to use. Do not send your password.
