Purpose
The UZIO calendar collects the dates your company runs on into one view: pay dates and payroll deadlines, enrolment windows, time off, holidays, start dates and celebrations. You can read it in the portal, or subscribe to it from Google, Outlook or iCal so the deadlines appear where you already look.
It is a view, not a diary. Every event on it comes from somewhere else in UZIO. You cannot add, edit or delete an event here; you change it in the module that owns it.
Who can do this: any employer-portal user. What you see follows your access to the underlying records, so leave for employees you cannot see does not appear on your calendar. Employees have their own calendar on the Employee Portal, showing their own dates.
Open the calendar
View Calendar sits on your home page, alongside the Who's Out and Celebrations content. UZIO has a newer home page, the Compliance Dashboard, and the two layouts place this link differently, so check the whole page before concluding it is missing.
The calendar offers month and week views, and scrolls through past and upcoming periods.
Events that appear:
- Pay Dates and Payroll Deadlines
- Open Enrollment Periods and Coverage Start Dates
- Employees' Birthdays and Work Anniversaries. Birthdays never show the birth year
- Future employees' start dates
- Employees' leaves, and direct reports' requested leaves
- Company Holidays

Sync events to your own calendar
- Click Export Calendar on the UZIO calendar, or iCalendar Feeds on the home page.
- The feed list offers six event groups: Benefits, Celebrations, Employee Start Dates, Holidays, Payroll, Who's Out.
- Next to each group you want, click the link for your calendar:
- Google: Google Calendar opens in a new tab and prompts you to add the feed.
- Outlook: you are prompted to add the feed to Outlook.
- iCal: you are prompted to add the feed to iCal.
Once added, the events keep updating on their own. How quickly a change in UZIO shows up depends on how often your Google, Outlook or iCal account refreshes subscribed calendars, which is their setting and not UZIO's.
A feed you have added lives in your own calendar account, not in UZIO. To stop receiving it, remove the subscribed calendar there. Removing it in Google or Outlook does not change anything in UZIO, and there is nothing to undo in UZIO afterwards.
Warning: Treat a feed link as confidential. The feeds carry employee leave, birthdays and start dates. Do not forward one outside your organisation or paste it anywhere public, and only subscribe from an account you control.
Note: Subscribe to the Payroll feed if you subscribe to nothing else. Payroll deadlines are the dates that cost you when they are missed, and this puts them in the calendar you actually watch. See Payroll Bank Holidays for the bank dates that move them.
Mobile
The calendar and the iCalendar feeds are part of the web portal. Once a feed is subscribed in Google, Outlook or iCal, it appears on your phone through that calendar app like any other subscribed calendar.
Still stuck?
If an event you expect is missing from the calendar, or a subscribed feed has stopped updating, please reach out to us at support@uzio.com or call +1-571-601-1752. Say which feed group it is, which calendar application you subscribed from, the date of the event you expected, and where that event lives in UZIO, for example the pay run or the time off request.
