Hire and Onboarding Tool
Hire and onboarding application is a premium feature for the employer to simplify talent acquisition and onboarding into the organization. The Hire and Onboarding tool can be found on the Employer Portal's Home page. The tool allows the employer organization to set-up hiring process for prospect employees, including templates for offer letter, agreement notice, employee handbook, and onboarding documents like employment verification form (W2), federal and state tax forms, custom documents, and onboarding task list.
The Hire tool enables the employer to send an offer letter to candidates, and manage the entire hiring process electronically. The prospect employee will complete all hiring and onboarding documents electronically with digital signature.
The employer dashboard provides an at-a-glance view into the hiring pipeline, and can easily transition a new hire into active employee status. The employer defined onboarding tasks are assigned to each new hire, with notifications to task owner to complete an onboarding task. For example, John just joined the organization. John needs to be assigned a company phone. The task owner will receive a notification to assign John the phone and can mark the task complete.
John as part of his onboarding will complete I9, W2, State tax forms, and any other documents defined by the employer electronically and the artifacts will be stored in a secure repository within John's profile.
Revised Employer Home Page
Uzio has evolved to all-in-one service for HR, benefits and payroll. Uzio can now be used for employee record management. Employees historic information, like salary change, reporting manager change, title change, and etc, will be stored in the system. The employer portal has been redesigned to accommodate the all-in-one hub for employee management. The Home page will provide at-a-glance statistics on the organization. In addition, Uzio is now enabled with organization chart, and celebration update.
New Home Page for the Employees
Uzio has also resigned the employee portal to accommodate HR and payroll function. The landing page takes the employee to their welcome page. The page provides a quick view of actions pending, like enrollments during OEP, electronic signature, or document submission pending. The employees are able to see their colleagues birthday and work anniversary milestones, as well as quick links to their information. The employees can access My Info to see and update their demographic info, and My Benefits to enroll, initiate a life status change, or view their existing benefits. Lastly, the employees also have access to the organization chart to see reporting hierarchy.
Uzio 360 Benefit Recommendation
We know that most employers, especially small businesses often offer a limited number of benefits to their employees. They either do not have enough knowledge about different benefit options or they do not have easy access to offer different benefits and they often think they need to set aside a huge budget for it. On the other hand, it is more work for brokers to find carriers to get appointed with and to learn about various benefits to offer to their clients. Uzio 360 benefit recommendation solution has made it easy for brokers and employers to have access to various benefits and make an informed decision on comprehensive benefits offering and also help brokers have a smoother appointment process with the carriers.
Account set up is made easier
The registration process has been simplified and users will no longer be asked to set up security questions while setting up the account. This change also enables the portal users to reset their password in a self-serve mode using forgot password feature.
Mid-year benefit onboarding can be done faster than ever before
Uzio has made enhancement to the onboarding template. When it is downloaded for a group it will be prefilled with the employee information already available in the system. The template is also prefilled with the employee specific benefits eligibility and it makes easier for Brokers to only set up the plan selection information for the employees.
Reports for benefits administrators
Beneficiary Report: This new report will enable Employers and Brokers to download the list of employees with their beneficiaries designated information.
Class reconciliation Report: This new report will enable Employer and Brokers to see the list of employees whose class in the benefits enrollment is different from what has been updated in the census. This provides them with the information to report a class change event on such employees to update their benefits eligibility as per the new class. Once the Class change LSC is completed the benefits enrollment will be updated as per the new class and the revised enrollment can be submitted to the carriers.
Waiver Report: Additional field DOB has been added to employee waiver report.
Plan management enhancement
Ancillary and Supplemental benefits category plan management module has been updated with advanced capabilities. Brokers can now add additional promotional materials for these categories whereas previously it was a predefined set of material that was allowed to upload.
Additionally, the plan management module has been updated to enable Broker to change the rating tier while setting up the plan rates for the renewal year.

Benefits package enhancements
Benefit Package creation workflow has been enhanced and made flexible to support additional business use cases.
- Brokers can add new benefits retroactively to the package by editing it. E.g. A group benefits package is already in effect with some benefits. If Broker wants to set up OEP for the additional benefits but the effective date has to be in the past then it is very much doable now on.
- Brokers will now be able to create a gap if required in coverage period in the renewal proposal.e.g. Medical, Dental, FSA and HSA were effective 12/1 in the last year but at the time of renewal, clients want to keep cycle for FSA and HSA as 1/1 which is now doable.
Employer Decision Support System
A premium feature for the employers for financial planning and cost containment tool. Employers would be able to use decision support tool/financial modeling in a self-serve to identify the potential cost of the benefits proposed by the broker. A click of Analyze Benefit package will enable the employer to do cost modeling.
Weekly Digest Email to Brokers/Agency Admins
We’re excited to introduce a weekly digest email sent by the system on every Monday, summarizing the progress of the book of business. The email will have details like total clients (Live or Non- Live), Proposal in draft status, OEP completed in last 1 week, Monthly dollar values, upcoming birthdays for any of the clients will be part of this email.
Brokers can add test client
Gaining new business has never been an easier task for the Brokers as the prospective client always want to see what they and the employees are going to use is something they want to view it first. Uzio has added the test client feature for the brokers to add prospective clients as test client and run through the experience to the client for the demonstration purpose. Any client or employees added under the umbrella of test client will never get an email from the system.
Usability Enhancements
New filter on plan listing: Brokers are able to add the custom plans for the clients but during the benefits process it was bit difficult to find out in the various pages or they would need to do a search to find out them. It has now become easier with just one click. A new filter has been added in the filter section to filter out the custom plans.
